Throwing up the lob can be simple enough, but the finishing player must press the button'shoot' in the green portion of the timing meter to smash the ball NBA 2K MT. Although I'm not sure if this is necessary but I appreciate the requirement for some level of skill and finesse even if they're not incredibly challenging during moment to moment gameplay.
In terms of defense, the most significant improvement is in the form of a redeveloped blocker system for shots. I was always adamant that blocking in previous NBA 2K titles felt lifeless and was ultimately a matter of chance. Thanks to the latest animations and the smoother flow and motion, blocks appear precise and strong adding a sense of strength to the game's legendary centres, which I feel aren't represented as threats previously.
Have a go with Wilt Chamberlain's Lakers or Bill Russell's Celtics and you'll get a sense of what I'm talking about. The added feeling of precision and authenticity also extends to mid-air encounters, since players on the ground feel more natural in motion.
Highlight reels from earlier games were usually ruined or simply ruined with glitchy animations that left my large men appearing as frozen robots in the air.
